"A post-apocalyptic America", "the dictator who lords over the ashes", "2046"? but what really happened before the timeline of the game? We were thinking you might enjoy some key dates to better understand the world of Steel Assault.

August 2036: Black Widow Event (thorium-based radiation attack which rendered America’s cities uninhabitable)
September 2036: Start of Second Pacific War
February 2038: End of Second Pacific War. Magnus Pierce becomes dictator over the ashes of America
December 2044: Large-scale purge of dissenting govt. officials (including Taro’s parents)
January 2045: Formation of Daybreak Resistance, an underground movement to topple Gen. Magnus Pierce's regime
April 2046: Taro Takahashi, resistance soldier, is sent to Washington, D.C. to investigate suspicious activity
