In the next big Steel Ark Demo: Sandbox & Automation update, we’re introducing automation mechanics.
In our upcoming Demo Update, we’re introducing some of the core automation systems that will shape the future of the game: conveyors, splitters, refineries, and assemblers.

In the screenshots above you can see how we can make an automated refinery. We connect the drilling rigs via the underground conveyors to the splitters (optional but quite useful), then to the refineries (iron ore → iron ingots) and finally into another refinery (iron ingots → steel ingots). From there, we can connect the output to the assemblers to automate production of whatever we need!
Optimize it, chain it, expand it - you name it!
