SteamVR has been updated with the following changes. SteamVR:

  • Fix a bug where directly launching an OpenXR title from Steam (without VR already running) could have unexpected behavior if the game creates multiple XR sessions with a time delay in between. For example, Blade & Sorcery.

  • Stop connecting to Steam for "utility" apps like MeganeX connector. This exception was broken a few versions ago, which causes SteamVR to appear as "running" to Steam even though it's in the background.

  • Fix certain UX bugs that could cause developer settings to show as black.

  • Disabled the gamepad driver by default to avoid a crash caused by certain accessory software. The driver can be turned back on in Settings > Startup / Shutdown > Manage Add-Ons.
