StateOS: The Political Sandbox changes
Hi everyone, since 0.1 is essentially about finished for now, I'm doing the last rounds of play testing, some minor changes, I figured I'd showcase some of the features in 0.2 that I've begun working on already. I'm going to prepare a new trailer video and also images soon for the store page including a update to the storepage information.
I just now figured out how to upload images into these Steam posts so I'll be able to share images on these devlogs.
Keep in mind 0.2 may release in September 30th or earlier if I am ready. But I am taking serious time to test and improve each update first before I release them as the focus is for stable updates.
Regional Parties, UK, and Germany!
Steam post imageFor certain countries, for now just the UK, you'll be able to select regional parties. Speaking of which, here is the new UK map.
Steam post imageIt is now split up in game and in the map into the several different jurisdictions of the UK.

No proper Westminster Chamber UI yet, but here is the different government Jurisdictions for the UK.
Steam post imageAs for Germany, Berlin, and Hamburg also have their proper regions besides state Kreis thanks to the new map system I made in 0.1.
Basic Government Metrics
Government metrics have been added back to the game in 0.2 and they change over time usually slowly over time compared to the old system which was much more chaotic if I remember properly.
Election Systems and Legislation
Germany and the UK have special election systems like the old game and legislation systems. But I have created them with much more detail and care than in older versions of the game that were more generic.
I don't really have them fully ready to showcase just yet, but you will see them later on in another 0.2 update.
I have yet to add custom parties, party popularity changes, political entities tab with party pages yet to the game. I will spend some time testing Germany and the UK. As well as improving the code base before I continue with the next features for 0.2.
As for 0.1, which is still coming out on the 30th, you'll enjoy a simple but playable experience with UI upgrades and you can save and load your games. I've spent serious time setting up a good foundation for 0.1 and a proper development cycle for the game.
