New features:

  • Dashboard UI overhaul. The dashboard is now well a actual dashboard that has a list of cards that tell you a metric and then a button to take you to that screen. It acts as a hub for the player to navigate the game easily.

  • New staff tab. The staff tab has been overhauled.

  • New news overhaul UI for different news outlets including their articles.

  • New political party UI overhaul for different political parties.

  • New lobbying outlets UI overhaul for different lobbying groups. This is still WIP though and isn't entirely complete.

  • Overhaul of the campaign tab UI.

  • Full implementation of the Vote prediction modal.

  • Modified the Judicial UI slightly as well.

  • New Politician Creator Screen. Made for easy navigation but also for power users and on top of that you no longer have to always do the questionnaire.

  • All ideologies answer all questions and get their label properly for the politician creator.

  • New live vote session UI. Looks a lot better now.

  • New Election Simulator screen.

  • New Party Creator screen. It includes the new option for an ideology or policy questions individually. A much better pixel art party logo editor, and more.

  • Political party taglines in the new political party view has a lot more name variance.

  • News outlets have much more different names. Like acronyms, or just simple last names.

  • Ethnicity data for all countries.

Changes:

  • Removed temporary changes of EVs for candidates for testing purposes of the reporting system to now they only change during actual results / projection.

  • U.S Primary elections are more condensed so less days where they actually happen.

  • Removed careers and actions tab.

  • Refactored and rewrote a lot of the code involving the Presidential election due to bugs and poorly written architecture.

  • Technical Changes:

  • Refactored the entire structure of data files for the game.

Bug Fixes:

  • Load and save party setups not persisting per playthrough has been fixed.

  • Japanese prefecture assembly offices not being generated nor in an election. This bug has been fixed.

  • Vote prediction modal not working for anything other than the city level.

  • Fixed Presidential election from not using coalition data. This was causing weird results usually landslide elections as a result.

  • Stopped Presidential elections from having states still calculating votes after clearly being at 100% reporting.

  • Fixed error when handling PluralityMMD elections with the new election system.

  • Fixed issue where the state details screen was fetching the wrong political party data for regions. So their alignment was different from what was on the region select.

  • Stopped Presidential elections from not properly being complete when we use skip to results.

  • Fixed the new Presidential elections to work properly in the election simulator.

  • Fixed counties that had no population. This was due to population weight issues.

  • Sometimes party names will not correlate with their party ideology. Social Democrat being called a Communist Party, Liberal party being called Far-Right, etc.

  • Fixed STV elections in Australia from using the plurality fallback because it wasn't generating the ranked ballots.

Bugs I'm Working On:

  • Tooltips going off the screen sometimes with reporting of election results.

  • Getting the German national bills actually passing along the new stages properly.

  • On some screens such as the coalition formation screen post election, an auto-generated party that has been manually edited by the player sometimes defaults to the initial name/color. (This was a user reported bug).

  • The elections tab UI not updating what election you are in when you lose.

  • Incomplete Features:

  • With the new system Independents basically cannot win the Presidential election. This is because proper calculations for independents has been disabled for the Presidential election for now as I figure out how to do them properly.

What I'm Working On:

  • New Scenario Editor Screen.

  • New Scenarios Saving ang Loading System.

  • Judicial cases triggering properly.

  • Other custom events fully working.

  • Custom events system overhaul and UI overhaul for easier use.
