BitSummit 2024 + Demo Update

Big news: I'll be exhibiting Starstruck at BitSummit in Kyoto from 7/19 - 7/21! If you're in Kyoto, please stop by and say hello!

To celebrate this, I've also just released a major update to the demo.

If you haven't played the demo yet, now's the perfect time! Or, have any friends who haven't played it? Now's the perfect time to recommend it to them! Your progress in the demo will also carry over to the full game also, by the way.

Some of the highlights of this huge update include:

• All-new charts by GH/CH charter Chezy

• Four new difficulty levels

• A new playable song

• Two new localizations (Latin American Spanish and Simplified Chinese)

• New rhythm UI

• And much more!

• Added localizations for Simplified Chinese and Spanish (Latin America)

• New, remade-from-scratch charts for the rhythm gameplay by Chezy

• Added a new song to play as Dawn while she's in jail

• Improved the visuals of the rhythm gameplay UI

• Added more button icons for remapped rhythm controls (F, J, K, L, R, Z, L1, L2, R2, LT, LB, RB, ZL)

• Improved controls and animation for dodging attacks during the rhythm gameplay

• Improved improvisation mechanics during rhythm gameplay

• Made icons appear above areas in Hand Mode when tools can be used to trigger events

• Added a rainbow outline around tools in Hand Mode

• Added measures to prevent tools from falling out of bounds in Hand Mode

• Improved how houses break apart in Hand Mode

• Improved overall physics in Hand Mode

• Made it so the hand can interact with other characters in Hand Mode

• Added a secondary dialogue box for Hadley in Hand Mode

• Updated character appearances in the green guitar flashback

• Made an icon appear onscreen when the game is being saved

• Added a calibration tool to the latency configuration menu

• Added a "Controls" button in the "Mission Data" menu

• Added a shortcut to enter Free Play directly from the user select menu

• Added support for more characters when typing in username

• Added a "Custom Stickers" feature
