addedDuring the bug fix process in the May 28 update, the behavior related to the turn-based duration reduction rules for battle effects was changed. This was carried out at the time in order to organize the rules for advanced effects planned to be added in the future and to align the behavior of battle effects under a consistent standard. However, during this process, the change was applied without sufficiently reviewing the existing turn reduction method for Barrier and the impact of the change.
changedAs a result, some Saviors' skill effects began operating less favorably than before, causing a decrease in performance. Internal development communication regarding the turn reduction rules for various effects, including Barrier, was not sufficient, and I, too, focused solely on the goal of unifying the rules and did not properly examine how the actual change would affect Captains' play experience and Saviors' performance.
changedSince this was a change that affected the performance of Saviors that Captains have owned and raised, it should have been reviewed with far greater care. The responsibility for finalizing this change without sufficient review is mine. I am deeply sorry.
changedWith our sincere apologies to the Captains who experienced inconvenience due to this issue, we plan to provide the following reward after the August 6 update .
changedThis reward will be provided to Captains who created their account before August 13, 19:00 UTC, when this summer event ends .
changedFrom now on, when changing rules that may affect Saviors' performance and the play experience, we will more closely examine not only the consistency of the rules, but also their relationship with existing skills and their actual impact in battle.

Greetings, Captains.

This is StarSavior Director Lee Sungwon.

I sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused by the change to how Barrier behaves.

During the bug fix process in the May 28 update, the behavior related to the turn-based duration reduction rules for battle effects was changed. This was carried out at the time in order to organize the rules for advanced effects planned to be added in the future and to align the behavior of battle effects under a consistent standard. However, during this process, the change was applied without sufficiently reviewing the existing turn reduction method for Barrier and the impact of the change.

As a result, some Saviors' skill effects began operating less favorably than before, causing a decrease in performance. Internal development communication regarding the turn reduction rules for various effects, including Barrier, was not sufficient, and I, too, focused solely on the goal of unifying the rules and did not properly examine how the actual change would affect Captains' play experience and Saviors' performance.

Since this was a change that affected the performance of Saviors that Captains have owned and raised, it should have been reviewed with far greater care. The responsibility for finalizing this change without sufficient review is mine. I am deeply sorry.

The turn reduction method for Barrier will be rolled back to how it worked before this change. This fix will be applied through the update scheduled for August 6.

With our sincere apologies to the Captains who experienced inconvenience due to this issue, we plan to provide the following reward after the August 6 update.

  • 2,000 Stellagems

This reward will be provided to Captains who created their account before August 13, 19:00 UTC, when this summer event ends.

From now on, when changing rules that may affect Saviors' performance and the play experience, we will more closely examine not only the consistency of the rules, but also their relationship with existing skills and their actual impact in battle.

Once again, I deeply apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this has caused Captains.
