StarSavior changes
Guide your Star-kissed Saviors, StarSavior! Greetings, Captain! This is your Liaison Officer, GM Lisa. Thank you for all the incredible interest and support you've shown for today's [Lost in Summer! Fated Paradise] Summer Update Special Broadcast. We've put together a quick overview of the major updates and rewards revealed during the broadcast so you can easily catch up on all the key details. ▶ Watch the Full Broadcast
-Main Event: [Lost in Summer! Fated Paradise] - Two New Another Saviors: Swimsuit Edition - New Gauntlet Season - Gameplay Improvements: Combat Power & Tactical Analysis - Improved Content Accessibility - Costume Destruction Effects for Cosmic Saviors - Operations & Interstellar Corridor Expansion - New Battle Rule: Battle Conditions
Two new Saviors will be released with swimsuit visuals that will also be displayed during training in Flora. Neither Savior will be limited-time.
Moving away from the heavier stories we've told recently, we've prepared a bright, refreshing summer adventure featuring Luna and Smile, set in the seaside city of Flora.
Overload Cube is a new mode that will replace the Challenge Stage for this summer event. Instead of following a set strategy, the focus is on the fun of freely combining powerful effects.
It will initially run as a three-week event, and we hope to eventually introduce it as regular content.
We will continue refining it to make sure it's as enjoyable as possible, so we hope you'll look forward to it. ● New Swimsuits - Another Saviors & Arcana
White Pearl Trap: Luna (Sun Attribute, Defender) · Reduces critical damage taken in advance, greatly improving the party's overall stability. · Triggers a Special Skill whenever the enemy lands a critical hit, allowing her to apply continuous pressure.
- Sunshine CatSmile (Star Attribute, Assassin) · Joins in Week 3 of the main event. · Built around a Special Skill-focused design, she can chain Special Skills continuously once conditions are met, creating a fast-paced combat experience. ● New Content - Overload Cube
Core Feature: Replica Codes Replica Codes are an expanded version of the existing Cheat Codes, with effects similar to the Charms you use in Journeys. Combining these effects can give your party an overwhelming advantage in battle.
We recognize that giving specific Saviors bonuses in Ranked Battle could ultimately create pressure for Captains to invest in those Saviors.
That's why we're taking a conservative approach with the initial rollout of Rotation Ban. After observing actual gameplay trends and feedback, we'll carefully make adjustments as needed.
We know that playing on the offensive side in Strategy Battle is already challenging, and that many Captains find building an offensive formation demanding. Given these circumstances, determining Rotation Ban targets based on win rate would likely result in Saviors frequently used in offensive formations appearing on the list more often.
We felt this could place an additional burden on players in a meta where playing on the offensive side is already challenging. That's why Rotation Ban targets in Strategy Battle will be determined by actual battle participation rather than win rate.
Strategy Battle's Rotation Ban is designed to reduce overreliance on certain Saviors without placing an excessive burden on the offensive side, and we hope you'll look forward to it. ■ Ranked Battle: Season [Yearning]
As with previous seasons, this season will run for 15 weeks and include the changes introduced during the pre-season. Once the season ends, a new succubus-themed skin for Seira will be awarded as a season reward. (The difficulty to obtain it will be similar to that for the previous Haydee skin.) ■ New System: Rotation Ban
Since we don't want the new Rotation Ban system to create an additional barrier for Captains just starting out, it will only apply at Platinum tier and above. After the new season begins, we'll monitor actual gameplay trends and make adjustments if any aspects prove overly burdensome. ■ Ranked Battle The three Saviors with the highest win rates over the past week will automatically be designated as Rotation Ban targets, reducing their key stats for the week. These reductions can stack up to 4 times. ※ The "Up" system that gives specific Saviors a bonus will not apply this season. ■ Strategy Battle Rotation Ban will operate independently on each server based on server-specific data, using battle participation rather than win rate as its determining factor to ease the burden of building offensive formations. ■ Strategy Battle Season [Gauss] Begins & Combat Balance Adjustments To ease the burden on the offensive side, the effect of Elves' Thunderstrike will be adjusted. The number of points lost on a failed defense will also be adjusted to better balance offense and defense.
■ Combat Power & Tactical Analysis Improvements
The upcoming changes to Combat Power calculations and Tactical Analysis will result in an overall increase in Combat Power for the parties you use most. Our top priority with the Combat Power changes is to ensure that your current Combat Power does not decrease as a result of the new calculation system.
Simply put, the Tactical Analysis changes will provide an overall boost. However, this won't be a simple across-the-board increase. Currently, the stat gains from Tactical Analysis decrease as you progress through higher stages. We're changing this so that the amount gained no longer decreases as you advance. Tactical Analysis values for Arcana will also be significantly increased, so we hope you'll look forward to these changes.
While not part of this summer's update, we're also working on more detailed indicators for when your Combat Power falls short, as well as additional Tactical Analysis bonuses based on Starlink level. These upcoming features will not require you to collect or spend any new currency, so we hope you'll look forward to what's ahead. ■ Combat Power Calculation Overhaul To ensure that your Combat Power does not decrease as a result of these changes, Combat Power will be calculated using three different methods: an ATK-focused calculation similar to the current system, a new HP/DEF-focused calculation, and a new CRIT DMG-focused calculation. The highest of the three values will be displayed as your final Combat Power, resulting in an overall increase in your party's Combat Power.
■ Tactical Analysis Improvements Stat gains will no longer decrease as you advance through the stages, while Tactical Analysis values for Arcana will be increased to nearly double their current levels within certain ranges.
■ Content Expansion & New Battle Rule In line with the overall increase in Combat Power, Operations and Interstellar Corridor will also be expanded with the July 30 update. The expansion will also introduce a new rule called Battle Conditions.
Battle Conditions are designed to introduce new pressure when battles run excessively long, helping maintain tension and the need for strategic decision making even in the later stages of combat. Rather than being designed to discourage stall compositions, the system introduces additional risks that require players to adapt as battles drag on. Battle Conditions will be introduced with this update and adjusted as needed based on actual gameplay. ● Operations & Interstellar Corridor Expansion (Scheduled for the July 30 Update) New higher-tier stages will be added to account for the overall increase in Combat Power. ● Long-Battle Mitigation: Battle Conditions For this update, Battle Conditions will primarily apply to the newly expanded stages of Operations and Interstellar Corridor. While battles typically take around 50–80 turns to clear, special effects will gradually be applied to the battlefield once a battle exceeds 100 turns. Existing stages will either be unaffected or have these effects applied at a reduced intensity to avoid placing a sudden burden on the existing gameplay experience.
■ Accessibility & Convenience Improvements This update will include adjustments to Operation: Retry Boost, changes to certain aspects of Cosmo Gate, and improvements to how Trail of Starlight Potential is acquired in Journey.
Retry Boost is designed to make subsequent Operation attempts easier. Its effects are noticeable during the earlier days, but around Day 9, there are points where the increase becomes less noticeable despite the buff itself being significantly stronger. With this update, we're adjusting how Retry Boost scales so that it becomes progressively stronger, providing a more noticeable benefit even in the later stages of an Operation.
For Cosmo Gate, we're making adjustments to reduce the burden of clearing lower stages, so that Savior progression does not become too significant a barrier to earning the minimum score rewards. As mentioned in a previous Dev Notes, Prism Season will also introduce a format featuring three bosses at a time. This adjustment is intended to ease the entry barrier ahead of the changes coming with the Prism Season.
We'll also be improving how Trail of Starlight Potential is acquired with this update. Until now, meeting all the necessary conditions did not always guarantee the result you wanted. We felt that meeting the necessary combination requirements already required enough planning, and leaving the final outcome to chance only added unnecessary stress.
With this improvement, meeting the required conditions will always guarantee the intended result. The names of the Charms required to acquire Potential will also be adjusted to make the requirements easier to infer.
These changes are designed to preserve the fun of Journey while reducing the frustration of getting an unexpected result despite meeting the conditions, as well as the inconvenience caused by unclear information.
● Operation: Retry Boost Enhancement Retry Boost will scale progressively to provide a more noticeable increase in Combat Power during the later stages, particularly around Day 9 and beyond.
● Cosmo Gate Policy Change Ahead of the introduction of Prism Season, all Saviors will be fixed at Level 200 and Resonance Stage 10. This will make rewards more accessible to newer Captains while allowing experienced Captains to focus more on strategy. ● Improved Clarity for Journey: Trail of Starlight Potential Chance-based failure has been removed entirely, meaning that meeting the required conditions now guarantees the corresponding Potential. Charm names have also been made more intuitive, making the required combinations easier to identify. (Example: Ancient Gauntlet AX + Evidence No. 2: Slime Armor = Trail of Starlight AX-2)
Special costume destruction effects will apply to both existing Cosmic Saviors and all new Cosmic Saviors released going forward. For existing Cosmic Saviors, however, they will be rolled out gradually rather than all at once, with the goal of completing the rollout by the end of this year.
If you own a Cosmic Savior, be sure to check out the new effects after the update. The two Saviors from the Wedding event will also receive some visual improvements. For Captains who don't yet own a Cosmic Savior, Select Cosmic Savior Observation will also be available with this update. If there's a particular Cosmic Savior you've been wanting, we recommend taking advantage of this opportunity.
We hope you'll look forward to the Toughness Break effects for future Cosmic Saviors as well. ● New Toughness Break Effects - Phase 1 Targets (4 Saviors): Lydia, Elisa, Lacy, Carnelia (Also includes visual improvements for the two Wedding event Saviors.) The new effects highlight each character's personality through distinctive expressions and reactions throughout the Toughness Break sequence. A Select Cosmic Savior Observation will also be available for Captains who don't own these Saviors.
● Toughness Break Preview in Savior Inventory A dedicated button will be added to the Savior Inventory (detail screen), allowing you to preview each Savior's Toughness Break state and play a variety of Emotes while viewing them in that state.
We know many of you may still be recovering from the back-to-back Carnelia and Ceres Observations, so we wanted to take some of the pressure off with this summer update.
We'll be giving out an even bigger variety of growth resources than we did during the Half-Anniversary, so we hope you can sit back, enjoy the summer festivities, and make the most of everything the event has to offer.
