Starlight changes
We have been busy! We are just returning from a trip to game conferences in Europe, testing online, and showcasing our immersive sci-fi adventure at festivals in the USA. Gamers have provided vital feedback about the project and this translated to dev sessions that will bring infinite procedural worlds and much more. This project will also see a brand update, from "Exo" to "Starlight"
Specific things that will be changing with the reboot include:
Infinite procedural worlds
New hero model
New amazing soundtrack from Mystik Sound
New skies and exotic alien planets, species and cultures
Crafting and resource management
An astrolabe puzzle mechanic to decode stellar alignment
Land surveys and archeology
Map
Compass
Fast-travel
Video clips through each level telling a story of exploration and discovery
AR heads-up display and a complete UI rewrite
These features are all completed except crafting and survival. We will be going into a testing round early this summer. Once issues testing surface have been resolved, we will release, slated for Q4 2024.
This was our first game, and we much appreciate early adopters and those who continue to show interest. We have learned so much and the original release, although seeing early attention and traction suffered from issues that prevented it from finding the audience it deserves.
The Starlight reboot will be released with 4+ levels and priced based on the amount of content that we create. There will be more levels and all customers receive updates without additional costs.
