Options:
#1 I can release a patch right now that has my dilligent work for the last few months of dropping loot from asteroids allows you to buy/sell and get a larger fleet... to destroy more asteroids... It's kinda anticlimactic with how incredibly complex the systems are underneath: Multi Core + MMO + Expandible
#2 I can not release a patch right now, and install some AI that will be able to work like a Live Game Master. I need to test the capabilities, but I believe AI can run:
The Memento system of simulated personalities.
Give you custom missions I didn't program. Arbitrage between systems with an actual vibrant economy(buy high/sell low)
Busy World of AI guys living their own lives, maybe building a financial empire that makes an army
Anomolies I didn't make.
The AI Game Master can drive live events and personally guide your own character arcs.
It's completely absurd the possibilities of having an AI Game Master.
Starfighter General has been under development for 9.5 years... It'd be nice at the 10 year moment to finally launch a MMO more technologically advanced than most people even imagine.
More stuff possible, but no promises:
Voice recognition to play by voice alone.
Voice of NPCs custom to each NPC based on intelligence, lexicon, culture.
So... Let me know in comments if you would want a vapid asteroid shooter where you build a huge fleet patch... I can drop that in 3 or 5 days... Or just wait for the big AI where the entire system comes alive in several months?
