Before we know it, November has arrived, and the release of the Star Abyss test version is getting closer and closer~ To communicate with everyone better and build some excitement, we will regularly share some recent development updates.

Since the last offline test at the end of September, we have polished and optimized the game in many ways. This time, we’ll mainly showcase the visual updates to the maps.

First, let’s take a look at the previous map design:

Optimization details:

  • We've added various types of fillers and obstacles to the maps, making them more diverse instead of the monotonous square structures.

  • In response to player feedback from the demo about "difficulty identifying door locations," we darkened the overall brightness of the maps and added highlight elements to doors and more important components.

  • We also added silhouette effects near the camera's foreground that match the map elements, enhancing the scene's depth and making it more visually immersive.

Additionally, visual improvements for the main city are also underway.

In terms of game content, we are working hard to polish various early-game experiences, such as: The animation and feel of characters casting skills: Steam post image Drops of Unique equipment: Steam post image Steam post image Steam post image Steam post image As well as more comprehensive and non-mandatory tutorial features, etc. We will gradually showcase these in future development logs~
