Star Trek: Warp changes
GETTING STARTED
When you first launch the Star Trek: Warp demo, you will be asked to play a series of tutorials to familiarize yourself with the core concepts of the game. We highly recommend you start here!
Tutorials
In the tutorials, you will play with a sample deck built with the U.S.S. Enterprise. Your deck will illustrate core concepts with familiar Star Trek allies and adversaries.
Take turns playing cards into lanes, attacking your opponent, and using actions to ultimately defeat your opponent's ship. Don’t worry. These scenarios are quick and crafted to introduce the game’s core mechanics.
Tip: To progress, click anywhere on your screen to advance tutorial messages or perform the suggested actions.
The tutorials will feature combat basics, movement and buffs, keywords and abilities, ships and locations, and then free play.
After the tutorial battles, you will be directed to the HOME section and the first set of battles crafted for the demo. You can also return to these tutorials at any time.
Demo Battle Decks
The Star Trek: Warp demo consists of six replayable battles. In each, you will face a rotating computer opponent with your own specific pre-built deck and ship to master. A quick summary is below.
Battle 1: U.S.S. ENTERPRISE
Deploy Starfleet officers to harness strategies of cooperation and mutual aid. Heal, buff, and cycle allies to make each other stronger. Use the U.S.S. Enterprise’s Warp cards Yellow Alert, Phaser Barrage, and Corbomite Maneuver to shield allies, disable opponents, and return defeated allies to battle.
Battle 2: SH’RAAN
Gain every advantage by fielding some of the most logical and clear-thinking Vulcan, Romulan, and Starfleet characters. Use Sh’raan’s Warp cards Vector Analysis, Convergence Point, and Particle Beam Sweep to buff allies, deter opponents, and blast through lanes with advanced technologies.
Battle 3: I.K.S. BORTAS
Deploy raw strength to conquer your opponents with bold maneuvers worthy of a Klingon warrior. Use I.K.S. Bortas’ Warp cards Photon Torpedo, Activate Cloak, and Disruptor Cannon to outgun and attack your opponents in every lane.
Battle 4: PRAKESH
Assemble unlikely allies to overwhelm your opponents with clever Cardassian gambits and healing support. Use Prakesh’s Warp cards Selective Elimination, System Sabotage, and Bajoran Wormhole to assassinate opponents, turn strengths to weaknesses, and make yourself nigh invincible.
Battle 5: ENTERPRISE NX-01
Apply ingenious technologies to disable and disrupt your opponents. Use Enterprise NX-01’s Warp cards Grappling Hook, Polarized Hull Plating, and Reed Alert to clear opponent lanes, shield allies, and reinforce your positions.
Battle 6: BORG CUBE
Combine diverse strategies from numerous factions with one cohesive purpose: victory. Use Borg Cube’s Warp cards Add To The Collective, Maturation Chamber, and Queencell to buff, assimilate, and protect your allies.
We recommend you play with each deck several times to get a feel for the mechanics and strategic possibilities that each embodies.
