Star Alliance changes
It has been a while since the last update for Yomi Alliance, and that's because of previously stated personal and family issues which I still have to sort out completely. Still, I have released two different games in the meantime and also an episode for The Coroner Saga (Episode 5 is on its way too and I have a huge, nice surprise for Episode 6 which will close the season).
But we're here to talk about Yomi Alliance, today, and it's going to receive a HUGE update.
I started to look at the game's data a few months ago and noticed that most of the players were not choosing many careers as I thought. Most of you stick with the most "famous" ones, and this led to many, many hours of scripting and gameplay that was not ultimately enjoyed unless you replayed the game again and again, which is very unlikely according to the stats.
So I decided to remove sub-careers and make only primary ones available, such as:
Command
Science
Security
Operations
Counseling
Medical
Engineering
This won't mean you will lose different sub-missions or anything, just that you will access more content, special abilities and missions right from your first playthrough, with a lot of such content releasing over the next update.
In the next update you can expect to find a lot of sub-stories, different missions and interactions with your crewmates.
Unfortunately, this will also mean that you wlil have to start a new game once updated, because of these changes affecting the way the game works. Loading a previous game might result in bugs, unexpected behavior and crashes, so you are warned.
I always try to keep the need of restarting a new game as low as possible, but with the changes I made, this time, it will be impossible. The changes are also the reason because the update took so long, since I have to rethink about the whole game experience, but that's what alphas are for, after all.
Your feedback, your help and support are making this possible. And I plan to release a beta of the game in a few months, with the final release planned very soon while I finish writing the story, adding images, sexual content and voiceovers, which will cover the most important parts of the game.
I hope you'll enjoy the game as it releases and I hope to see you out there, in outer space!
Stay safe and healthy!
