1) New Minions
Introducing a new skill, Aura of Decay: All living minions lose 2% HP on starting a turn. 1% HP for Heroes (does not stack)
Zombie Warrior - Level 3 - Undead / Humanoid
Aura of Decay
Regenerates 10 HP on starting a turn.
Low initiative and movement, high resistances.
Can attack twice per turn, but very low accuracy.
Zombie Hound- Level 6 - Undead / Beast
Aura of Decay
Regenerates 15 HP on starting a turn.
Can Leap up to 3 tiles away.
Can use Roar (grants Fury to friendly units, extra stacks for friendly beasts).
Low initiative but high movement, mid resistances.
Can attack twice per turn, mid accuracy, inflicts open wounds on impact.
2) Combat balancing
Reduced HP of explosive barrels, but also reduced damage of exploding
Increased base displace chance for all skills, specially for push
Meteor now deals 2 stability damage
Reduced momentum cost for holy punch but reduced base damage
Frost arrow now applies 2 stacks of Frost
Reduced initiative, accuracy and evasion for Imperial Swordman
Increased stun chance for crush
Reduced initiative of Skeleton Mage, but increased elemental strength
3) Improved enemy AI
Plenty of adjustments, but most notoriously:
AI internally assigns a priority value to each player unit, depending on how much of a potential threat it is to the current AI squad. Ej: if AI has a lot of beasts, enemy hunters get higher priority because they do bonus damage to beasts. This priority is one of the main factors when deciding which unit to attack or debuff.
When chosing a target to apply a status effect, it now considers more factors like priority, remaining HP, momentum and stability, how close it is to the opposite team's units, and how close it is to key tiles like runes or control zones.
AI now adapts it's "personality" over time to reflect the current situation. This include several variables like aggresiveness, friendly hero protection, enemy hero focus, upgrade priorities and much more.
4) Aesthethics Improvements
Re-done all the environments in Enchanted Forest and Permafrost Peaks from scratch. This includes terrain, trees or rocks surrounding the playable area, lightning and effects like snow, fog, rain and fireflies.
Improved lot of visual effects, mostly for spells.
