changedThe demo will be constantly updated to reflect the latest progress.
addedAccessibility for new players: I listened to the feedback from new players and they made it clear that they prefer to jump into action asap. Hence, after creating your hero, your first region is selected automatically (enchanted forest) as well as your first stage (skirmish, no mods, minion reward) and go straight to combat. If you win, you select the second stage manually as usual. Once you clear the first region, this won't apply in future runs and you get to play normally.
addedImproved tile and environment effects Added rain effect for fantasy forest and falling snow for permafrost peaks, but with random variations. Also randomized lightning to portrait fighting at different hours. I'm thinking of adding some bonuses and penalties for specific minions on different weathers, but for now is purely aesthethic.
fixedMade plenty of improvements to the character creation GUI. Fixed some bugs. Made some combat balance.

I'm happy to inform that after a lot of hard work I finally released a demo for everyone to play! It includes:

  • 5 playable Hero Classes (2 of them need to be unlocked first)

  • 3 Regions, 8 different environments

  • 14 hero items

  • 12 playable minions

  • 12 minor relics, 5 boss relics

  • You can play up to defeating the second Boss

The demo will be constantly updated to reflect the latest progress.

I'm also happy to inform that the game will be released on Early Access by the end of June. I put a lot of thought into this and decided it's best to release as early as possible to get more feedback from a bigger audience. You can read the full details in the "Early Access" section of the game's main page.

Accessibility for new players: I listened to the feedback from new players and they made it clear that they prefer to jump into action asap.

I also simplified the tutorial and spread it across several turns.

Improved tile and environment effects Added rain effect for fantasy forest and falling snow for permafrost peaks, but with random variations. Also randomized lightning to portrait fighting at different hours. I'm thinking of adding some bonuses and penalties for specific minions on different weathers, but for now is purely aesthethic.

And I replaced all the flat and boring tile effects and made them fancy, glowing and animated:

Made plenty of improvements to the character creation GUI. Fixed some bugs. Made some combat balance.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback! Please keep it coming, there's plenty left to improve. More updates soon
