addedProgress and UnlockingProgress between runs is now being tracked and used to Unlock new content. The idea behind this is to avoid analysis paralysis in new players and intimidating them with too many options at once. Now, only the more beginner friendly options are available at first.
addedScytheA new weapon type, with a special attack that heals the Hero if the target is killed. This is the first weapon that focuses on healing and is affected by healing bonuses, which makes it a great choice for healing-focused builds.

Region Bosses

The Boss is a corrupted Hero representing one of the six main Hero Classes (never multi-class).

For defeating this Boss, you'll be rewarded a Boss Relic (explained next) out of 3 choices, and an extra reward that may consist of: a) The defeated Boss becomes uncorrupted joins your Squad. You can have up to a total of three heroes simultaneosly (including your main hero), and experience gain will be shared equally between all heroes so this will slow down your main hero leveling. b) Morale boost for all your units. c) Experience Bonus.

Common Relics can be rewards from non-boss combats or purchased in vendors. They offer minor bonuses but will add up nicely.

Boss Relics can only be obtained by defeating a Region Boss. They provide huge bonuses and sometimes a big penalty in return. One single Boss Relic can change your Squad significantly.

Boss Relics: Energy Generator: All your units gain +1 Momentum per Turn and -1 Max Momentum Crown: +15% Initiative to your Main Hero but -10% Initiative to all other friendly units Whip: +10% Initiative to all friendly Minions but -5 Morale after each combat Tribal Mask: +20% Max Active Minion level but -1 Active Minion Slot Rune of Harm: On combat start a random enemy loses 40 Hit Points Pickaxe: Gain 3 extra Gold per combat for each Reserve Minion

There will be aproximately twice as many relics for early access, and five times as many for the full release!

Progress and Unlocking

Progress between runs is now being tracked and used to Unlock new content. The idea behind this is to avoid analysis paralysis in new players and intimidating them with too many options at once. Now, only the more beginner friendly options are available at first.

Some Hero Classes are now locked at first, and the player need to each a certain stage to unlock them.

Within each class, only 4 skills are available at first, the other 4 are unlocked by winning combats with this Class.

In-Game Settings

You can now adjust your settings, like in any decent game.

Scythe

A new weapon type, with a special attack that heals the Hero if the target is killed. This is the first weapon that focuses on healing and is affected by healing bonuses, which makes it a great choice for healing-focused builds.

Spellcasting Effects

All spells now have casting visual and sound effects.
