Spy Carnival changes
General
Added a Role Ban system: Hosts can now choose which roles may appear during a match and disable any roles they do not want. Simply click on the role cards in the Lobby settings to enable or disable them.
- Added Map SelectionThis system lays the groundwork for our upcoming maps and we liked the nighttime version of our current map so much that we decided to make it available! You can now select your preferred map from the new Map section in the lobby settings.
We know that the map felt a little small, so we increased the scale of both the map and its props. Don’t be surprised if reaching your destination now takes a little longer!
The maximum number of NPCs has also been increased from 50 to 60. Thanks to the larger map, there is now enough room for even more NPCs!
Security
Added a new Security role: Undercover!
Undercover has an active ability that allows them to temporarily disguise themselves as an NPC. Blend into the crowd and catch those suspicious Spies off guard!
Spy
Reworked the Impersonator’s ability!
We understand that the previous ability was not particularly useful, so we have given it a bit of rework. The Impersonator can now spawn a decoy with a random appearance. The decoy will immediately run forward, creating a great distraction for Security!
Events
Added the Event(Activity) System! This idea was previously discussed in our 📝suggestions channel on Discord, and we wanted to introduce our own version of it. We plan to add more events in the future to make every match feel more unique and entertaining!
Our very first event is the Circus Tent Party!
Because Security has a more passive, observation-focused playstyle, we wanted to give the Security team an additional strategic decision to make. Around the middle of a match, Security can trigger the Circus Tent Party. Once activated, most NPCs will head toward the Circus Tent and some will even run there! Everyone inside the tent can join the dancing or cheer along, and the match timer will be extended by 70 seconds!
As this update introduces several new systems and major changes, you may encounter some unexpected issues. If you notice any bugs or problems related to these features, please report them to us. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support!
