Hello Survivors!
Welcome to the very first Dev Diary, the start of a new series where I’ll be diving into the gameplay, mechanics, and upcoming content for the full release of the game.
Lets dive on in about what you'll get up to during a run.
In each run you’ll be scooting, shooting and boosting your way through waves of relentless drones. Line them up, blast a few from a distance, then boost straight through the swarm to slice through as many as possible!
This mix of fast-paced movement and aggressive boosting is at the heart of the game. I’m aiming to bring a fresh spin to the survival genre with a focus on momentum, fluid combat, and risky plays that reward precision and timing.
As you tear through enemies, you’ll earn upgrades, anything from simple stat boosts like extra damage to unique abilities, experimental weapons, and even unstable modifiers that can help you... but also make enemies stronger! As you progress, you’ll unlock more upgrade options, expanding your upgrade choices and letting you experiment with new builds. I’ll be covering these systems in more depth in a future dev diary.
And finally once your runs over, take to the leaderboards and see how you stack up against your friends (and the world). At launch, I’m planning three game modes, including an Endless Mode, so there’ll be plenty of opportunities to chase that top spot.
On top of this the latest demo update adds a new boss encounter at round 35, featuring some unique attack patterns and phases. Make it to round 35 and beat the boss to earn a victory!
