Spinning Scarecrow changes
Hi everyone!
We’re kicking off our Level Showcase series with a closer look at the very first area of Spinning Scarecrow: The Famine Camp - the twisted, rural introduction to the game’s grotesque world.
Watch the gameplay video here.
Get a full look at the flow of the level, the pacing, and its eerie atmosphere.
What is The Famine Camp?
The Famine Camp is the player's first step into the grotesque, decaying world of Spinning Scarecrow.
Once a simple rural settlement, it is now nothing more than a collapsed memory, a place where hunger, rot and silence have shaped a landscape that feels unsettlingly alive.
This level sets the tone for what’s to come: a world where every corner hides something broken, twisted, or disturbingly familiar.
Learning the Core Mechanic
The Famine Camp acts as a gentle tutorial, introducing players to the main mechanic of Spinning Scarecrow:
Start at the beginning.
Dodge hazards with timing, reflexes, and movement precision.
Reach the end.
No distractions, just the pure essence of the game’s challenge.
Highlight Assets from the Level
We’re also sharing a small GIF featuring some of the props that define the identity of the Famine Camp.
These pieces help create the unsettling rural mood that runs through the entire level.
