Hey adventurers! We're back with our first major update since launching on Steam, which takes the Spellblade demo to its 0.0.3 version. You can now explore down to the 5th level of the Winter Sanctuary, which as always contains new monsters, traps, puzzles, and NPCs.

>There's a new screen/UI for starting options when you select a new game. Instead of selecting options like sprite, gender, and difficulty through a series of questions, you toggle them all with a cursor. This will be iterated on going forward.

>Fixed an issue where Writs would cause crashes if a character without enough Arcana skill tried to use one

>Fixed an issue where some locked doors did not interact with Silver Keys properly

>Fixed an issue where mining icons weren't appearing over correctly-identified breakable walls properly. May have missed a few, so still working on this.

Tuning:

>Nerfed Sneak Attack and slightly changed how Sand Trick works. Sneak Attack's hit rate is now calculated as a normal attack, and its damage is now reduced by enemy armor. Sand Trick is now 95% effective if it hits, but its hit chance is also calculated as a normal attack. The combination of these two abilities was supposed to be powerful, but in playtesting we found it to be absolutely game-breaking. It's still good, but doesn't trivialize nearly every monster anymore.

Known Issues:

>Some trapped chests might behave oddly if you try to use Thievery on them, fail the Thievery check, but have a high enough Dexterity to avoid the trap anyways. The items in the chest may end up vanishing. If you're worried about this happening, just eat the damage from the trap until we can get this fixed. Sorry!

>Level 5 of the Winter Sanctuary uses different wall textures on the map, but the same as previous levels on the battle screen. Next update will contain new art assets reflecting the different environment.
