It has been 10 years!

It has now been exactly 10 years since SpeedRunners officially released on Steam. To celebrate, the KOSTV team has some announcements that we would like to make!

King of Speed TV Streams Coming to YouTube!

Starting with the monthly coming on the 25th, we intend to start multistreaming so that tournaments can be watched live on YouTube in addition to Twitch. This means that VODs will now be much more up to date, although featured matches from the tournaments will still be delayed.

The Curated Map Survey Is Underway!

As it has been 6 months since the last one, we are once again running a survey to determine which maps should be present in the curated workshop list, which allows them to be played in ranked lobbies and tournaments. The survey has been updated to hopefully make it more clear that that is why we are asking for opinions on maps. We have also changed it so that we no longer collect email addresses, and instead use other forms of verification. To vote, click here.

Another Map Contest Has Started!

This contest is designed to be less of a "build a map for this contest" opportunity and more of a "I think this map I made deserves to be in the curated list" opportunity. A such, we are not placing a limit on how old the map can be, and are only requiring that it not be a map that is or was in the curated list and that you get permission from the creator to submit it. We are also not banning new maps from participating, however. A staff member of KOSTV will sanity check each submission, and then all maps that qualify will be released to the public three weeks before the King of Speed tournament. Voting will begin one week before King of Speed, and end once the tournament does. To submit a map, click here.

King Of Speed Is Coming Soon!

We only have a little over a month until it is time for King of Speed, and only 2 more events to go through! If you want one of the remaining slots and haven't been fighting for points over the last few months, you are going to want to sign up either for our fourth and final monthly qualifier tournament or the Last Chance Qualifier!
