changedHi everyone! Last weekend the tinyBuild side of SpeedRunners was in San Antonio (Texas) at PAX South. We worked really hard to make the biggest possible showcase of our competitive games, and naturally SpeedRunners was a runaway success. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvFpbKF5HG0 Special thanks to Paolo (9-year old gold league player) who kindly agreed not to destroy everyone, but rather troll people by doing extra swings and constantly taunting. pic: Jesse and Luke playing SpeedRunners while I chat with Daniel form Extra Credits about how the game came to be. This was part of the official Twitch.tv stream of #PAXSouth. Not many people realize, but during the showcase we use the SpeedRunners Party Mode - a free version of SpeedRunners available to everyone, completely free. It runs itself, has 3 maps and 4 characters. Bots spawn, start running. If you interact with a controller, you take over control of a bot. This build works like a charm. Get it on SpeedRunners.com ! My favorite part about these showcases is how we constantly iterate, and try to place our most popular games in strategically important locations. If you want to read more about our showcase, check out this novel-sized post-mortem with loads of videos (including almost getting shot in the ghetto). Who is coming to PAX East in Boston next month???
