I’ve started setting benchmark scores for each lesson block.

These don’t translate 1:1 with normal typing tests — this system rewards flow and punishes breaks in motion.

Even high WPM typists struggle to match these scores.

If you can beat them, you’re operating at a different level.

🧠 Background

Before building Speed Grinder 2.0, I competed in the Intersteno international typing competition.

• Top 0.7% — Rank 116 (Mother Language) out of 1463

• Top 0.6% — Rank 89 (Multilingual) out of 1517

The rules required 99.5%+ accuracy for a score to count.

This system was built to train that level of control — not just speed.
