The first public demo of Spectral Escape is out!

This demo of the game contains the first 12 levels of the game, all showcasing most of this game's main mechanics. These 12 levels should be a great indication of what the rest of the game is going to be like, except for the difficulty of course. Trust me, there will be a lot harder levels in the game, but not hard enough to frustrate the players too much. ;)

  • Mors is the lead developer of the game, who also happens to be the person writing this. He has done a majority of the programming, and game design, as well as a big chunk of levels and some of the graphics.

  • Darkonius Mavakar also designed a lot of the levels you'll see in this demo.

  • Cruise Elroy did a majority of the art in the game. Both the promotional art and most of the pixel art you see in the game is his work.

  • Catonator is responsible for sound effects and music in the game. Needless to say, he's awesome.

  • And Sharb programmed the level editor, which unfortunately isn't in this demo.

I hope you all enjoy this demo! We spent a ton of time on it.

Yeehaw!

EDIT: Well, this is awkward, this demo was originally intended for the Steam Games Festival, but due to some... weird issues I've had the game ended up missing the festival... Despite the announcements going up. Either way, the demo should still be up :)
