addedRevamped Game Structure: Players can now choose which region to embark on before an expedition. Regions unlock progressively. After successfully completing a region, the party returns to the capital. Survivors become Veterans and return as well. For new expeditions (except the first region), assembling a party will require Veterans.
addedNew Map Feature - Capital Caravans: A new type of point of interest. Use these caravans to send several of your fighters back to the capital early. They will heal their injuries (some negative quirks) and become available for future expeditions. This essentially allows players to save fighters if an expedition seems doomed.
addedNew Mechanic - Koschei's Curse: Once all currently available regions are completed, players can choose Curses for new expeditions, which significantly impact the balance of power.
addedNew Mechanic - Deeds: Deeds are personal achievements for each character. Completing them grants the character a permanent bonus.
addedOverhauled Item System: Characters now have 5 equipment slots (Weapon, Armor, Accessory, Boots, Helmet). Items now have a prefix (e.g., Sharp, Sturdy, Inspiring...) and suffix (e.g., of Fortitude, of Tactics, of Undead Slaying...) system. This means items now have random bonuses, the number of which depends on the item's rarity.

    • Expeditions now end upon defeating the region boss. Exit points from regions have been removed.

    • Reworked interface.

    • Reserve units now receive 50% of the experience gained by units in the active squad.

    • Fixed the bug report button in combat.

    • Improved tooltips for gamepad buttons.

  • Bug FixesA huge number of bugs have been squashed. We've probably introduced some new ones =)

Such a massive overhaul required significant rebalancing across literally every aspect of the game. We will continue tuning this for some time and greatly appreciate your help and feedback.
