addedHowdy Everyone! This is Casey, the main developer of Sparkour. It’s been a long minute since the last time I’ve gotten to talk to you all. Too long, in fact. I’ve been very reluctant to give some specific details about what’s going on, and I’ve also been quiet on the social media front. However, I think that the New Year is a perfect time to divulge more of what Sparkour really is, and what 2017 has in store for us all!
changedThe Sweet DetailsFirst of all, let’s talk about the game: what it is exactly and what you will be able to do in it's final rendition! I'm sure you’ve all read our Steam descriptions, but let me get into detail. Sparkour is a racing game where you race up to 4 of your friends, either online or locally, and use sweet parkour moves (such as wall running and vaulting) to navigate the courses. As you perform these stunts, you will be rewarded by gaining speed, and those rewards stack, so it's always suggested to be as cool as possible for as long as you can! In addition to this, you have access to a multitude of randomly grabbed items that can help you on your way, whether it be a weapon against your enemy or a special ability to outrun them with. In a later update, we'll give you more information on what kind of items you will get and how many courses we are planning on having at release. With all of this, we’re planning on releasing this year, in 2017. I can’t say exactly when yet, as our turbulent development cycle means that deadlines get pushed back and dates go up in the air. Rather than waste your time with those setbacks, I will instead abstain until I'm sure we can get it out on a particular date. Rest assured, I will let you all know as soon as I’m comfortable with a date.
changedLet's Do This Again Sometime...Whew! That was a hefty update. I’ve been holding off on updating you guys for a multitude of reasons, so I had a bit to unload. We’ll keep you all posted on what we’re doing, and we’ll include more details on the game in future updates. We can’t show our cards just yet! Until then, stay tuned everyone. I seriously love you all and I can’t wait to share this awesome little game with you. Love you all, Casey. Follow caseytube on Twitter! Follow sparkourgame on Twitter!

Going Into The Year...
Now, let’s talk about what’s going to happen within the next couple of months. First, I will be more active in discussing what's going on behind the scenes. If you want minute to minute updates on Sparkour, you can follow us on Twitter. On @caseytube, you will find some stream of conscious updates for the game (and lots of jokes and junk, beware!) My promise to you all is to stay active there with little updates on what's going on, and other tidbits of information. The more important posts will be made or retweeted on @sparkourgame. I know you may be a bit anxious for Sparkour, so I’ll make this simple. We’re releasing a demo! The demo will be released before the final release date, and it will include one level for you and your friends to run around in. It will also act as a way for us to receive some great feedback on the game, so you can help us round out some bugs and shape it into the game you want to! We hope to see you all then, but please know that we have a lot more to shave off before we are ready to unveil Sparkour to you!
