addedHi guys! I'm really excited to present you the new update of Spacetours VR today. Thanks to the support of everybody I was able to develop a lot of new features. Many of them were created based on community feedback and criticism, thank you for your input! In V 1.1.0 Spacetours VR is closing the gap from a visually driven experience to an eductional explanation of our Solar System. Greatly increasing the depth of the experience, the new database and model viewer features introduce a new way of learning about the celestial bodies around us. I really love the new content and hope you will like it too. Spacetours VR also became more beautiful, go check it out! Cheers, Christian
changedNew FeaturesEach object in the game has now a description of its key features. Planets offer comparisons to Earth like scale and weight. The info panels for each planet are accessible by hovering over the glowing button “touch to open” on the top of your display column with your motion controllers. The tabs for moons and probes can also be opened and closed by hovering over the respecting buttons.
changedNew FeaturesPlanets on the info panels can be grabbed by holding the trigger of your controller when near them. When holding them you can access a scaled view with descriptions of the various structural layers by hovering over the button.
changedNew FeaturesGrabbing probes from the info panels lets you access a detail mode with technical explanations of the various components they are made as well as the utility they provide. The detail view also has an explanation of the event that can be triggered by pointing your beam on the probe in orbit. Some probes like MAVEN and Voyager have little extra event that can be triggered in this view.
changedNew FeaturesOriginally the focus of this patch who would miss out on the first surface level positioned at the Apollo 15 landing site. Be aware the surface level is an experimental feature and will challenge the power of your system. Therefore it is a little harder to reach by attracting the moon in Earth's orbit with your beam and placing it on the console.
addedUpdatesSpacetours VR's shader models have been reworked to achieve a new level of image quality. Visuals are now much crisper at the same performance levels. The amount of detail in a large number of maps has also been increased.
