changedHowever, after careful consideration, we have decided to pause development on Spacebus. Throughout development, we found ourselves grappling with the gameplay loop - attempting to strike the delicate balance between depth and the frenetic, fast-paced action that defines the Spacebus experience. Our ambition led us to expand the game’s scope, introducing a world map, quests, RPG elements, and more. However, amidst this exploration, we unintentionally strayed from the heart of the game. Despite scrapping and restarting the core gameplay loop multiple times, we couldn’t quite capture the fun and chaos we had originally captured during the jam.
addedSo what’s next? While Spacebus takes a brief hiatus, we're exploring new frontiers, gaining fresh insights, and gearing up for future endeavors. . We encourage you to stay tuned for updates on our evolving journey and new projects on the horizon.

Back in July 2020, we embarked on a thrilling gamedev journey together during the GMTK Game Jam, where the seeds of Spacebus were planted.

Since then, we’ve been on a rollercoaster of creativity, growth, and learning. As a fledgling studio, Spacebus marked our inaugural project, teaching us invaluable lessons in planning, scope, development, management, and design. The support and enthusiasm from our amazing community have fueled our passion and commitment.

Rather than tinkering endlessly, we believe that putting Spacebus on the back burner for a bit will allow us to return with renewed passion and creativity to create a game that truly reflects the vision we hold dear.

Thank you for your unwavering support, your enthusiasm, and for being part of the Incredulous family. We look forward to the day when we can reignite the engines and resume our (government-subsidized) celestial journey together.

Until next time,
