What changed
- Gameplay
Working on the writing for the story in my current in progress game-making adventure, The Gods of Oxis, has gotten me thinking about a lot of things that I can improve very quickly with Space War Machine. I will be going back to this project very briefly, and I will be adding improvements to this game to make it friendlier and more accessible to all those who wish to play it.
I will be removing the experimental radar screen added from the last build that is mucking up the screen space. I will be restricting the camera movement to the top-down perspective and making a few more improvements throughout the game, to make it shine a bit more and be more friendly to new players.
Look for these improvements coming out very soon! I want to make the game more accessible to all, and that means fixing some things that stick out in my mind.
As always, I recommend using Xbox style controllers to play the game, although I now have other controller types as well to test and implement controls.
Please stay with me, and realize that this project, like my current game, is the product of one lone developer! It was based off former game concepts I had created in the 2d format all the way back from when I was using game maker pro while I was still in the military!
