addedWe are proud to announce that Space Boat now has a fancy new video at the start of the game. For those of you who remember walking into computer stores and seeing games running their intro video on a 30 second timer loop, know that Space Boat does exactly that until you start a chapter.
changedBig thanks to Sam Shandley for composing this great theme song and hats off to Michelle Franklin for her lyrics and performance.
changedAdditionally, we were able to leverage the power of Unreal Engine 5 for this video by using their global illumination system "Lumen". All of our neon signs became sources of light! Neat! Never thought we'd be capturing in real-time what used to take hours to render.
addedWe also introduced a new character. Say hello to Pepper-oh-noes Mike!
changedWhat's more, is that for a few weeks we've been working on getting the game working on objectively the most difficult platform: the Nintendo Switch. The good news here is that we managed to get it to run at a steady 30 fps at all times and the optimizations made there is also spilling over to Steam and Steamdeck (although the performance here was already solid after the last round of optimizations).
