changedOne of the most common things I hear from demo players is that the AI encounters don't put up much of a challenge. This is intentional! I tuned down the difficulty for the first few duels so players can figure out the mechanics and learn about the fusion system without long tutorials.
changedHowever, once you beat the boss once, you unlock Ascension I, and that's where the challenge begins.
changedThere are 3 available ascensions, and each of them introduces a modifier that makes the game significantly harder. Enemies have more health, activate more traps, and force you to figure out more complex lines to OTK or to just survive!
addedEach Ascension you beat will also unlock a new card reward that can be drafted in following runs. I've designed these so you have more options to interact with some mechanics that are more common in higher Ascensions like enemy buffs, face down cards and pacts.

The Ascensions are available from version 0.2.18 onwards, on both the Playtest and Demo editions.
