SOS: SPECIAL OPERATIVE STORIES v1.01 IS HERE

Buckle up sweet video game friends, because SOS version 1.01 is large and in charge! This update introduces a handful of usability tweaks and minor bugfixes.

changedImproved messaging for hacking consoles. The intended gameplay is to rapidly press E until the console is hacked. You'll now get a prompt when hacking consoles to reflect this.
fixedFixed a very rare global bug wherein the Agent could get stuck outside the game's bounding box. If he does, he will automatically be placed back at the entrance of the current screen. As a further catchall, you can now reset your current screen with the tilde (~/`) key if you still manage to get stuck outside the bounding box.
fixedFixed a very rare bug in Episode 1 where an invisible Baldwin point was accidentally placed at random in the second building of Ft. Fanibhusan. Triggering this Baldwin point with 'E' resulted in placing Agent out of world.
fixedFixed a bug wherein the Agent would very rarely forget to chase his adversary during a cinematic moment in Episode 1.
addedAdded a delay to quitting the game with ESC to prevent accidental closings. Hold the ESC key down for 3 seconds to quit.

  • Added a delay to quitting the game with ESC to prevent accidental closings. Hold the ESC key down for 3 seconds to quit.

  • F2 no longer resets the game. To reset the game hold BACKSPACE for 3 seconds.

  • Made the tilde key (~/`) symbol more readable in the 'MISSION FAILURE' screen prompt.

  • Made a few minor tweaks to SFX.
