Song of Morus: Limbo Express changes
I usually share development updates on social media with small posts and screenshots. However, after such a long development period, I felt it was time to write something here—especially in case some of you don’t follow my social accounts and may have wondered if the project feels like abandoned.
Development of Song of Morus: Limbo Express has been ongoing for about two years. In the beginning, it was just a prototype made for a small online Game Jam. After that, I realized the core idea felt unique and promising, so I decided to expand it into a full-scale project targeting a Steam release.
I don’t have a release date yet. Right now, I’d estimate the game is about 60–70% complete, assuming I continue self-publishing. If I’m able to secure additional resources or support, the scope may grow. Song of Morus: Limbo Express is a flexible project—I have many interesting level ideas built around the core mechanics, and I’d be excited to develop them further if players are interested.
The development period has been much longer than I originally expected. Even the Steam page has evolved multiple times. Below are several versions of the capsule images—you can see how the quality has improved with each iteration. So what am I working on now?
I’m currently developing a new playable character: a young Buddhist nun who wields a small khakkhara as her weapon. She moves more slowly than the other characters, but her aiming range is wider, offering a different playstyle.
If you’d like to support the game, please consider wishlisting it and following the updates. I’ll be posting more news here in the future!
