20 years later, classic RTS game gets transformed by surprise Steam update

World War II and RTS games have always gone together perfectly. We've got Company of Heroes, Men of War, and Steel Division 2 to name a few. Back in 2004, however, we had Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. This epochal strategy game helped pioneer the modern RTS as we know it today, but in the last 20 years, it's gone largely unloved. Until now that is. Both Best Way and Fulqrum Publishing have just released a game-changing and modernizing update for Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, making the last two decades seem like nothing.
