Greetings Hunters, and happy holidays!
We are happy to bring you a small but important patch for this holiday season.
Enhanced controller support: New controller mapping and overall improvements. Added rumble functionality based on pain.
New UI: Updated visuals and functionality of various menus and user interfaces. New Main menu, settings and key bindings menu pages.
New torch behavior: The torch and flashlight now appear turned on when changing inventory (easier to fight off wendigos).
Focus mode: New focus mechanic to expose lore and operate mechanical objects with the controllers.
Xmas office: Seasonal Christmas decorations are on, get a picture with the team next to the tree.
Greenwood forest enhancements
The Greenwood Forest is the first one to receive a bunch of lore exposition through diaries and focusable interest points. New aesthetics to fit the lore, as well as improved navigation with better lighting and landmarks, as well as maps.
Lure machine enhancements
Improvements to the lure machine regarding localization and functionality.
Footprint mechanic: All the entities now display some sort of footprint, even when teleporting. This facilitates the environmental awareness of the hunters.
Crucifix journal page: New default journal page with information regarding the types of entities and their weaknesses, as well as a guide to crucifixes and cursed objects.
Added missing Localization: Some new objects were missing localization to Japanese, Italian and French.
Bug fixing: We have been fixing the bugs that you guys reported since the last update. There’s maybe some more for you to discover though (please report bugs on our discord channel).
As always, thank you for hunting entities for us. We hope you get scared and frustrated enough to finish the Wendigos, but happy enough to keep coming back. From Eonia Studio, Happy holidays!
