Return to Coziness in Snowscapes

Dear Snowscapes Community,

Today, I'd like to share with you a change in direction for Snowscapes.

A while back, my husband playfully dared me to add a surprising twist to the cozy world I was building – to infuse it with a bit of the unexpected, to see how the blend of cuteness and shock would be received. As a result, we added realistic blood effects into the game. A TikTok featuring this version had an incredible response. It seemed many of you were intrigued by the twist.

But here's the heart of the matter: While I absolutely enjoy challenging perceptions and evoking strong reactions, I also hold close the initial vision I had for Snowscapes. A vision of pure warmth, serenity, and comfort – a game where players can take a break from the chaotic world outside and find a cozy refuge among soft snow and gentle creatures.

It's not about popularity or trends. It's about the heart of what Snowscapes was always meant to be. The juxtaposition of gore and gentleness was an exciting experiment, and I am grateful for the journey it took us on. However, I believe it's time for Snowscapes to return to its roots.
