addedHey everyone!Today, I would like to share a way for y’all to hop back into Sniping your friends in a big way. Introducing: weekly playtests! On a weekly basis, we will be opening up the Playtest build of SNIPERPUNK with a new way in which to play the game, namely what we are calling 'tests'. These tests can be viewed as modifiers to the base game, and can range from all guns getting double ricochet, to introducing a thick darkness onto the map… Basically, anything can happen! After their weekend is up, we’ll leave the build up for the rest of the week and return the next weekend on Friday with the next one. These will be a little weird and wild, but we hope you really enjoy them!
changedWhere can I go to claim my key?In order to gain access to these tests, go to the playtest-keys channel in our Discord (link below) and type !items in order to claim a key, even if you have done so previously. (apologies if you’ve already claimed a key from the bot before; this was the cleanest way to do it internally) As usual, you can claim 2 keys; one for you, and one for a friend!
addedWhere can I go to claim my key? Finally, we have some new items for you all to test as well! These will be rolling out on a weekly basis alongside the tests, but will be sticking around even after that week’s test has concluded! This week is the Reduplicator, which gives you another stack on your lowest rarity item with the lowest number of stacks. Oh yeah, it’s happening.

Hey everyone!

Developer Brendan here to tell you that we’re baaaack!

Apologies for the radio silence! The SNIPERPUNK engine never stops though it does slow down a bit for holidays. For real though, we appreciate your patience with us while we’ve been quiet; a lot of good stuff has been going on behind the scenes, we just needed some time to make sure everything was in a state that was worth showing to you all before we began ramping up our external communications again. However, enough of that! I’ve been talking about having something to show you, so let’s do just that.

Today, I would like to share a way for y’all to hop back into Sniping your friends in a big way. Introducing: weekly playtests! On a weekly basis, we will be opening up the Playtest build of SNIPERPUNK with a new way in which to play the game, namely what we are calling 'tests'. But Developer Brendan, when can I actually play these new tests?

I'm glad you asked! As for when you can play these different tests, how about … tomorrow???

Yes, that’s right! Starting tomorrow on 2/9/2024 at 9:00 AM EST, the first playtest will be available for you all to try! Each week at 9:00, the current test will rotate out, and the next week will begin. This first week will be double items: all items you pick up will give you 2 stacks (including weapons), which means your builds will get pretty nuts pretty quickly.

Where can I go to claim my key?

In order to gain access to these tests, go to the playtest-keys channel in our Discord (link below) and type !items in order to claim a key, even if you have done so previously. (apologies if you’ve already claimed a key from the bot before; this was the cleanest way to do it internally) As usual, you can claim 2 keys; one for you, and one for a friend!

This week is the Reduplicator, which gives you another stack on your lowest rarity item with the lowest number of stacks. Oh yeah, it’s happening.

With that, that’s all I’ve got! Let us know what you think in the sniper-chat and feedback channels of our Discord when you get to test! If certain tests are popular enough we’ll consider rerunning them in the future as well! With that, have a great rest of your week and Happy Sniping!
