Major Update And New Name
Paintjob Rampage is almost a quantum leap from the previous game version, featuring a plethora of graphical and stability upgrades, bringing the game to a whole new level of appearance.
New Name
To avoid any legal hassle around the term "Smiley", the game has been renamed to "Paintjob Rampage". The gameplay has not been affected by this change, it is still the same game as it was before.
Major new features in Paintjob Rampage
GPU driven particle system allowing for tens of thousands of particles on screen
Full HDR deferred lighting system allowing for better and more lighting and effects
Subtle visual improvements like SSAO and soft shadows
Improved actor appearance
Many new interface features
New sound effects and environmental feedback
Improved powerup effects (Vampire, Poison)
Actor animations have been improved and fit the theme better
Paintjob Rampage's interface has received a huge amount of polish
Status icons are now 3D
Status icons are animated and show a brief pulse when a player scores a knockout
There is visual feedback for scoring by flipping coins flying towards you
Powerup buttons have depth and a liquid filling animation
Shots are now particle based color trails that cast light
Players drag a subtle color trail behind them
The UI has been upgraded, giving it more of a 3D look
Last but not least there were a couple of stability updates
Networking is significantly more stable
Some nasty memory and state leaks causing graphical glitches and occasional crashes have been fixed

To showcase all these changes and upgrades, a new gameplay trailer has been released.
