changedOn a different note I wanted to let you guys know that we're stopping our smaller weekly updates and planning to move to a bi weekly schedule with bigger more impactful updates instead. There are several reasons for this when we first released Smack Talk we wanted to update weekly to make sure people knew how seriously we were taking the game. However we've gotten feedback and we realized it would be better for the game to get updated in larger more spread out chunks.
changedAnother reason for the change is just the fact that single character/stage updates just aren't that impactful and we want updates to genuinely be exciting for players. For example some members of our discord came up with the idea of themed updates where we could release several characters/stages based around a theme.
removedI also want to address the biggest bug currently in the game where if a player or spectator leaves everyone's voice recognition breaks. I believe I know the cause but this is one of the issues where I'm going to have to rework several scripts so I wasn't able to fix it for this update. In the meantime I've removed the ability to join mid match as a spectator so hopefully it happens much less often. I should be able to fix it for our next update or if I'm quick enough I'll push a small patch. That's enough yapping from me though we're still motivated and committed to finishing Smack Talk and we really appreciate all the support see you in 2 weeks ːsteamhappyː

The Diver is here! With a insane move set from summoning manta rays as platforms to dive bombing opponents on a anchor. We hope you guys enjoy playing this character as much as we enjoyed making it, from the vote contest to all the cool move ideas we got from your comments.

I'll be honest Smack Talk is still pretty messy code wise when we released in early access around the start of December we had only been working on the game for around 2 months. This combined with Smack Talk being my first multiplayer game, and weekly updates while still learning as I go, has left a lot of the code in need of a rework. Unfortunately a week just isn't enough time to fully rework some systems.
