changedLinuxFor those who wanted to play the playtest on Linux, we have some bad news for you. Since a recent engine upgrade we've done the Linux support for SteamVR is currently broken and therefore a native Linux build is currently not possible. However, we've tested the game with Proton and it works fine and currently we see this as a temporary solution for the problem.

Features

The playtest contains most of the game's features:

  • Track editor with full set of tracks and scenery objects

  • Race mode with all cars except campaign related cars

  • Time of day settings

  • Multiplayer

If you've played the Steam Game Festival demo last summer, your savefiles will most likely still load, however there may be bugs that wouldn't normally occur.

A note about car physics: The car physics are not finished and will most likely change massively during and also after the playtest. If there are things you notice about it that are missing or just feel off, please tell us about it.
