This game is scheduled for a price increase on May 1, 2026. Reason for the increase:

I've noticed similar games of comparable size on Steam are selling for 40 to 50 RMB. Since Slime Nomi is still far from breaking even (it's been a total money pit!), I've decided to raise the price. I hope players will understand!

An overview of the this update:

Art Update

I redrew some of the pixel art for Chapter 3. Take a look at the screenshots:

New Functions

  • Added the option to change the position of jump and dash records. You can modify this under Options -> Jump & Dash Record.

  • Added the quick restart option. You can choose between holding the button to restart or pressing the button for an instant restart. Adjust it under Options -> Quick Restart.

  • Added particle animations of slime. This can be modified under Options -> Slime Particle.

  • Added automatic separation from sticky walls (including sticky moveblocks). This can be modified under Options -> Auto Separation From Sticky Walls.

  • Added hidden gem hint, which can be turned on in the pause menu under Options -> Custom Options -> Hidden Gem Hint.

New Levels

This update adds new extra levels! Check out the screenshots:

In the Select Save File screen, select Extra Levels to find the new levels! The new levels include one troll level, one new mechanic level, and a mahjong mini-game (in the troll level)!

Adjustments

  • Replaced the slime's dash sound effect.

  • Tutorial levels now provide more detailed gameplay instructions (extended to 15 rooms).

  • Gems and death counts are no longer displayed under the prologue photo (prologue does not have gems).

  • The portal animation no longer replays after restarting the first room of each chapter.

  • The Extra Levels and Return to Level List options are now more noticeable to players.

  • The opening story illustrations can now be flipped through.

  • After restarting level in the potion room, dialogues will no longer occur.

  • Box outlines will no longer obscure the animations of other boxes.

  • When adjusting the camera view with a controller, the camera view can now move diagonally.

  • When holding the diagonally downward direction to dash, slime will now dash horizontally.

  • The background music will now pause when the game loses focus.

  • Sound effects will now pause when adjusting the view or reading the map.

  • Toy blocks will now take a moment to reappear.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the bug that slime would play a landing sound when positioned vertically above jelly with negative vertical speed.

  • Fixed the bug that when slime is landing and sticking to a sticky wall simultaneously, it plays the same sound twice.

  • Fixed the bug that if you pause the game when a teleport potion is appearing, the potion appearing sound would not be paused.

  • Fixed the bug that the runestone's hitbox is larger than its sprite size.

  • Fixed the bug that pressing the hint button when the hint text box was hidden because of slime would not make it invisible.

  • Fixed the bug that the green shield's duration bar would suddenly disappear after switching rooms.

  • Fixed the bug that the blue paper plane would continue moving after the slime obtained an item.

  • Fixed the bug that the background music might not play upon entering the game.

  • Fixed the bug that the slime could still reach the upper ground of the room without turning on infinite jumps or dashes.

  • Fixed the bug that clouds would teleport after switching rooms.

  • Fixed the bug that the progress in mini-games of the celebrated minuet might not reset after restarting chapter.

  • Fixed the bug that the jar carried by slime would disappear after performing a horizontal dash on a sticky wall.

  • Fixed the bug that slime might have a one-pixel gap when trying to move close to vertical moving platforms.

  • Fixed the bug that dialogues in troll levels wouldn't start from the first line if dialogues begin when slime is covering the dialogue text box.

  • Fixed the bug that the level name in the bottom-left corner wouldn't change when switching languages in extra levels.

  • Fixed the bug that slime would generate ground particles when squeezed by horizontally moving blocks while in invincibility state.

  • Fixed the bug that independent pufferfish would be animating when switching rooms.

  • Fixed the bug that slime would teleport instantly upon entering a previous task room after using map teleportation to reach a specific room in extra levels.
