Skyhook changes
- Deathmatchmode
Hold onto your grappling hooks ladies and gentlemen, because it’s officially Sky Ball season! Sky Ball is the most popular sport in the world of Skyhook, where two teams battle it out to throw the ball into the other team’s goal. There are no fouls or red cards in this sport, hook the other team to their death, grab the sky ball, and swing towards the goal. With the introduction of Sky Ball, I wanted to take the time to make it so that you could play team matches in any of the game modes. Team Deathmatch is no longer one of the options, instead you can play Deathmatch, Steam Tank and Sky Slayers as a team! On top of that, the new team selection menu allows you to choose teams for bots too! There are no more limitations on what modes you can and cannot play with bots.
Changes
Increased player movement speed.
All character now have the same movement speed.
Decreased respawn time by 1 second.
Gryphons will no longer disappear when a player jumps or dodges off of them. They will stay on screen until their timer runs out.
New 2d shadow system for players, items, and mounts.
AI will not go for powerups it already has.
Improved flight path navigation for bots on mounts.
Decreased bot’s ability to dodge and increased their chance to attack players.
Overall improvements to AI players.
Added hover effect to player tokens.
Climbing up and down through platforms will kill during Deadly Dodge mutator.
New death sounds and voice overs on character deaths.
New FX when a player is killed by a hook.
New Magma Cove stage music!
Added more platforms to Magma Cove II.
Mask power ups have been removed from the game.
Darkened character selection rooms to know when a player hasn’t selected.
Fixes
Fixed bug with bots not able to traverse platforms near lava.
Fixed bug with bots standing still during Swag matches.
Fixed bug where Airship hover animations would break if the game is paused.
Fixed bug with outlines on Steam Tank ammo not displaying properly.
Fixed bug where players earned Swag points even after the match ended.
Fixed bugs with character selection when a gamepad is disconnected or reconnected.
Fixed bug where bots would not fire once on a ship or turret.
Fixed bug where variants could not be selection with custom controls Keyboard. I’m super excited to bring you guys these new updates, and am anxious to hear what you think about Sky Ball!
