changedWe've got a lot of new features to talk about this week, from the addition of CPU players to the revamp of the character selection screen and more! Let's jump right in: Fight against CPU controlled players, with Easy, Normal, and Hard options Newly revamped character selection screen to support CPU player selection. Use a cursor to select your character, assign CPU players, and choose difficulties. Change your character’s skin using the Outfit Chest Taunt button. Press the L Bumper by default on gamepads to laugh in your enemies’ faces. Fight to be the first player to achieve the target number of kills, but lose points for dieing. With the addition of character skins, Team Deathmatch will now use an outline on your character to show you what team you’re on.

Gameplay Balance

  • Powerups are no longer endless. They will automatically end after a timer if you don’t die.

  • Hitbox for shield powerup fixed to align more with the sprite.

  • Hooks that have clashed will not grapple on the way back to their owner.

  • Sudden Death powerups will now stack, and be replaced if someone else picks up the same powerup.

Character Balance

  • Runa now has a higher jump than the other characters.

  • Runa has no stun delay after dodging.

  • Jade’s ground dodge will automatically stop if she reaches the edge of a platform.

  • New dodge animations for Jade and Fin.

  • Jade now moves the fastest.

  • Fin moves the slowest.

Changes

  • Pressing the dodge button will now make you dodge in place. You must give directional input to dodge in a specific direction.

  • Parrying has been removed while we work out some balance issues.

  • Bigger and more dynamic explosions.

  • Hook clashes will knock back any player’s caught near it.

  • Smoke effect to easily track knocked back players.

  • Dodging now turns your character white instead of turning it dark.

  • Invincibility now flashes your character white instead of clear.

Bugs

  • Fixed bug with sudden death powerup not finding a target.

  • Fixed bug with sudden death powerup timer during 4 player matches.

  • Fixed bugs with controller disconnection messages in the main menu.

  • Fixed bug with custom controller mappings not working after controller has been reconnected.

  • Fixed Random option never selecting the Tombs.

  • Fixed bug with World Map not defaulting to Random when returning from a Random match.

  • Fixed bug with force applied to hooked teammates.

  • Fixed bug with not being able to cancel the Credits.

  • Fixed bug with hook extending distance being inconsistent.
