Previously, the game played in 480p, which was scaled to your screen size. In the new update, the game is playable at 1440p, with multiple scaling options in the settings menu.

Fonts will no longer be blurry at high resolutions, (a common complaint.)

Although the "play area" is still in 4:3, the screen will expand to 16:9 in fullscreen mode.
