SKAT is a trick-taking card game with 3 players very similar to SPADES, and national game of Germany. Every single hand, first the one who plays against 2 others has to be determined. This is done by the auction (German: "Reizen") meaning betting and competing, player with strongest bet may define the Trump suit - but plays against 2 others!
