Controller is coming

Hey all ! Finally, we have released the game. It felt both scary and awesome at the same time. But so far, we couldn't have wished for a better reception!

Repeated intro

Hey all !

What changed

0 fixes0 additions5 changes1 removal
  • Store
  • Gameplay
  • UI and audio
  • Performance
  • Compatibility
changedInitially, we are going to try to keep the developer streaming going on at the store page, that helps to keep the buzz going a bit and keep us closer to the surface at Steam :)
removedSkeleton cave is HARD, we want to remove some bad guys in there.
changedSome SFX volume adjustments
changedAfter that, we want to aim at two bigger things (besides more smaller ones): Controller support and memory usage.
changedController support Many have requested this, more than we expected. We had planned this for a major update in six weeks, but due to the high demand we will try to brush this one off faster.
changedMemory usage We have gotten aware of some crashes and high/extreme memory usage. That's unfortunate of course, very sorry about this. This can be a trickier one to fix though, but we're going to deep-dive here too! Our best tip right now to everyone having problems with memory and/or crashes is to lower the graphics settings - avoid "Ultra" if it causes problems for example.

Finally, we have released the game. It felt both scary and awesome at the same time. But so far, we couldn't have wished for a better reception! Many seem to like the game and that make our hearts warm :-) We also try to capture suggestions and feedback on how to improve the game.

So, what happens now ?

Initially, we are going to try to keep the developer streaming going on at the store page, that helps to keep the buzz going a bit and keep us closer to the surface at Steam :)

In parallel with this, we are going to focus on some low hanging fruits that can ease up the game play a bit.

  • Skeleton cave is HARD, we want to remove some bad guys in there.

  • After having been up to the bridge, teleport the player right back to Melisande instead of having to run

  • Inverted mouse support

  • Some SFX volume adjustments

..these things should be quick fixes and will be done as soon as possible in an update.

After that, we want to aim at two bigger things (besides more smaller ones): Controller support and memory usage.

We want to thank you all for your kind words, constructive feedback and suggestions! Keep whooping while we keep improving the game ! See ya soon :)
