Update 1.1 signifies the start of a new direction with Simple Farm.
The game was originally intended to be a short, cheap game that could be beaten within an hour or two. And that’s what it was at first: I made it, put it on a shelf, and moved on to my next project. But the ideas for Simple Farm never stopped coming. There’s so much potential left to explore. Between building, NPCs, enemies, and weapons, I’ve found myself coming up with new ideas every day.
So 1.1 is a bunch of little things to prepare for the future. I’ve added defenses for your base, new golden plant types, better art, and a lot of little fixes in preparation for expansion. The game is short right now, but it’s still a lot of fun. And over the next few months it’s going to get a lot more fun. So have fun and thanks for playing!
