SilkRoad Project changes
View store page The first official trailer for SILKROAD Project is finally out… and honestly, the response completely exceeded my expectations.
In this devlog, I talk about everything that happened behind the scenes over the past few weeks:
Releasing the first official trailer
Completely revamping the Steam page
Learning how to approach marketing as a solo developer
Reaching out to press, media, and industry professionals
What worked (and what really didn’t 😅) on social media
How the trailer ended up more than doubling my wishlists in just one week
And finally… getting back to development, with a renewed focus on combat and enemy AI
This past month has been one of the biggest learning experiences I’ve had since starting this project, and I wanted to share both the wins and the lessons that came with it.
If you enjoy following solo gamedev journeys, indie RPG development, or just want to see how SILKROAD Project is shaping up, I hope you enjoy the video.
And if the game looks like your kind of thing, don’t forget to wishlist it on Steam. It genuinely helps more than you might think. Thanks for watching, and thanks for following the journey.
