Silicium changes
This was originally sent to our newsletter subscribers a few months ago, posting it here for those who missed it
We have added a bunch of new things to the game, let's list them all!
Biomes:
The world is now split into biomes that contain different resources. The two first ones are the Forest and the Plains.
In the near future we will add higher level Ice and Fire biomes that will contain higher tier loot and enemies.
New Buildings & Items:
Iron Tools: After the stone axe and pickaxe, you can now craft with iron. Iron tools collect resources more effectively than their stone counterparts.
The smelter allows you to melt iron ore into iron ingots. It burns wood to function.
The forge is an upgraded workbench that allows you to craft higher tier items
The transport rocket is now fully fonctional. It allows you to export precious minerals to the mining corporation to gain credits.
In the final game you will be able to spend your credits to unlock new items.
The first ranged weapons are the slingshot, cannon and auto-cannon. The slingshot is very primitive, easy to make and fires rocks.
The cannons are more powerful but also more expensive. They fire shells made from iron and sulfur.
In addition to walls and door, floors can be added to your base. They not only look good, they also prevent hostile drones and resources from spawning in your base.
They also prevent other players from building where you don't want them to.
Temperature and energy
Your robot needs to keep a temperature between 0-100°C. It also has an energy bar that needs to stay above zero.
Stay warm at night by staying close to a lit campfire or a smelter.
Increase your energy level by assimilating special resources like the enegy berry.
This was the second newsletter! I'll keep posting them here and try to catch up with the mailing list. If you don't want to miss the next newsletter, make sure to subscribe on our website François
