📢 Developer Update – Silent Watcher: We're Still Improving

To all players,

We want to be completely honest.

Following the official launch of Silent Watcher on August 14th, we released a graphics-focused update on the 15th, moving from URP to HDRP in pursuit of a more cinematic visual leap. However, this led to serious performance and gameplay issues:

Flashlight lag

Excessively low FOV

Extreme darkness

Insufficient battery charge

Disproportionate initial difficulty

We know the result was a frustrating experience for many. Therefore, on August 17th, we released patch 1.1.1, which fixed most of these issues and balanced the gameplay. You can see the details of that update here.

🔧 What's next?

Silent Watcher currently suffers from poor optimization, even on mid-range PCs. On a 1050ti, the game drops to 35fps, which is unacceptable for a title that takes place entirely in a house.

Therefore, this week we will release a new update that will:

Significantly improve overall performance.

Adjust darkness levels to make the experience more playable.

Continue fine-tuning technical aspects, without altering the essence.

💬 An important step, but not an excuse

This has been our most ambitious leap yet, and although we are a small studio, that doesn't justify releasing a poorly optimized product. We're charging for it because we believe in it. Because Silent Watcher has a strong foundation, a unique atmosphere, and mechanics that can shine with the necessary polish.

And that's what we're going to do.

✅ Our commitment

We will update Silent Watcher as many times as necessary until we achieve the result we want and that you as a player deserve. Thank you for continuing to support this project, even with its flaws. We won't give up.

Thank you for your patience,

– The Silent Watcher Team
